Presented by Sonoma Foundation for Behavioral Health
The Andrew Conti Workshop

Andrew Conti, grew up in the Bay Area, a talented musician and artist, grappled with his own battles with mental health and addiction until his passing last year. His fellowship, his friends, and his family allowed him to be sober at the end of his life. It is with the clarity of a sober mind that Andrew began to write the screenplay “Roofing”. His unfinished work serves as a poignant reflection of the struggles of many, delving into themes of loneliness, entrapment, and the yearning for love and freedom. Although Andrew was unable to complete his work, his community will honor his legacy by presenting an adapted version of his play, exploring the universal human experiences magnified by addiction and mental health challenges and the search for self forgiveness, acceptance and a way to embrace the flawed and hopeful life that’s possible to live on the road to recovery. Their adaptation not only tells the story of Seth, Lucy, and Arthur, but also reflects the broader narrative of a SF/Bay Area community ensnared by addiction and searching for liberation. Please note this performance is for 18 + audiences. Thank you!
