    MARCH 16 From 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM In support of the Arts Alive program to connect, promote and celebrate Petaluma's vibrant arts community, O'Brien Center of the Arts and the Polly Klaas Community Theater are thrilled to be a part of next March's city-wide art experience. Dancers will bring to life paintings on display, combining art, music and dance during an evening of other artists sharing their love of art around town. This is a FREE program thanks to an Arts Alive collaboration between Art-a-Luma, O'Brien Center for the Arts and the Polly Klaas Community Theater. Doors will open at 6PM / seating Capacity is 92. The first 92 to arrive may be seated, we have overflow standing room for about 20 in the back. We hope to see you there!

    Date: 2/15/24 Time: Two shows- One at 5:30PM and one at 6:30PM Tickets: No purchase necessary, it is a free event open to the public Description: As a self taught street dancer, Tina learned the value of self determination at an early age. A native of Sonoma County, Tina earned experience and acclaim in music, break dance, hip hop, and athletics during her school years. While attending UC Davis, she turned her passion for the arts, fitness and wellness into a popular example of master teaching not only to children but people of all ages. Tina is a natural teacher and role model who truly enjoys using arts education and fitness, as tools to “crack-the-code” in child development that lasts a lifetime.

    May 16 - 6PM – 9PM This is a FREE and family-friendly concert! Beverages for adults and children available for purchase. MATCHSTICK (6-6:45pm) Matchstick is a young Sonoma County original rock trio. From laid-back grooves to anthemic choruses, the group’s indie rock is nostalgic and refreshingly original. TRENT YACONELLI (7-7:45pm) Former front man of Five A.M., Trent Yaconelli channels the raw, heartfelt storytelling of Ryan Adams with the raucous energy of The Replacements, infusing Americana rock with emotional urgency. ZACH HAMMER (8-9PM) Zach Hammer is a veteran of the Northern California music scene, and currently fronts Petaluma’s favorite eclectic cover band, The HOTS. The Zach Hammer Trio is his newest project, and sees Hammer challenging himself with a wild array of cover songs as well as original material.

    Time: Doors open at 5:00, Show from 5:30-7:00 Description: The polyrhythmic heat of Evie Ladin’s clawhammer banjo, resonant voice, real stories and rhythmic dance have been heard from A Prairie Home Companion to Lincoln Center, Celtic Connections to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Brazil to Bali. A prolific creator and gracious facilitator, Evie grew up steeped in traditional folk music/dance up and down the East Coast, bringing a syncretic vision to new work while holding fast to the roots. Evie writes clever lyrics with mature arrangements, calls rowdy square dances for urban crowds, choreographs new body music/percussive dance for contemporary dance and film, leads seminars in movement anthropology, rocks straight up old time clawhammer banjo, and gardens, from the vibrant home base of Oakland, California. She’s won ribbons and arts fellowships, performed in sold out concert halls and cozy living rooms, and toured around the world, to every state in the US except Florida.
